CTN Nationally Recognized!

Parade Magazine

It’s been a busy and exciting year for CTN, as you read above, we were nationally recognized by Parade Magazine! This selection was because of CTN’s 3rd consecutive year with a 4 star rating on Charity Navigator, of which there are very few in the state of Indiana. It was also a recognition of the need for specialized transportation and our unique nonprofit business model.

Our medical transportation has increased 35% since July 1st. This is in part due to several local for profit companies either closing their doors or greatly reducing their number of clients. At CTN we are working hard to make room for this new surge in demand by hiring additional drivers, registering new clients, and scheduling more trips. Our donors help subsidize medical transportation so that we can offer reduced rates based on a client’s income and trip frequency. So, you can see a 35% increase in medical transportation is an expense that needs immediate attention!

In October we added 3 new smiling faces; Gracie, Jonathan, and Mary. They are our most frequent flyers, dialysis patients. At three (3) round trips per week, a dialysis client would pay $7,800 per year in transportation. Thankfully we recently had a very generous donation that will provide one (1) year of transportation to dialysis!

This year we have a Holiday Giving Goal of $15,000. This money will provide two (2) more clients each three (3) weekly round trips to dialysis, for an entire year! These folks are unfortunately in it for the long haul when it comes to their medical journey, but with CTN’s transportation they can continue to live a healthier, happier, independent life!

Please consider helping reach this goal so Gracie, Jonathan, and Mary’s families will have peace mind knowing their loved ones have friendly, dependable, door-thru-door transportation is holiday season and in the year to come.

Happy Holidays,
Becky Weimerskirch
